Correct answer: A. No — taxi and rideshare drivers are specifically exempt from the child-car-seat requirement while transporting a fare-paying passenger

Regulation 613, Section 8.1 specifically exempts the driver of a taxicab (extended to rideshare vehicles operating under a U10 permit by a 2021 amendment) from the child-car-seat and booster-seat requirement while transporting a passenger for hire — recognizing that a taxi or rideshare driver can't be expected to supply or verify a family's own child restraint equipment.
