Correct answer: C. A distance tab states how far away the hazard is; an advisory speed tab recommends a safe speed

A distance tab states how far ahead the hazard actually is (for example "500 m"), while an advisory speed tab recommends how fast it's safe to travel through it — one is a measurement, the other is a speed recommendation.
