Correct answer: D. Two
Two. It sits in the 2-point band alongside improper turns, failing to signal, improper opening of a vehicle door, backing on a highway, failing to lower headlamp beams and failing to obey signs. The underlying duties are the everyday ones in the Highway Traffic Act about giving other road users their share of the road — turning out to let a following vehicle overtake where you can, moving to your own right when meeting oncoming traffic, and leaving cyclists room. Two points is at the low end of the scale, but for a novice driver the threshold is low too: a warning letter starts at 2 points and a 60-day suspension arrives at 9.
